| From the age of 3 the children join our
pre-school group. During their sessions here they will follow the early years curriculum
in accordance with government guidelines. However, our priority is for the
children to have fun while they are learning. We have specific equipment to
enable us to follow the government guidelines and will report to you on your
little one's progress, using the Wiltshire County Council building blocks
scheme. This is used by most schools in the area thus allowing a smooth
transition to school. The pre school has been recognised and registered
into the Good Practice file at Wiltshire Early Years Team as a centre of
excellence.
For pre-school in the term after your child's 3rd birthday you are entitled to receive an education grant from the government. This will reduce your childcare costs as you are entitled to up to 5 free 2.5 hr sessions which the grant pays for.
