New Road Nursery is owned and managed by Shan and Mark Cawley. Shan has 18 years of experience in the field of childcare, ranging from her first job as a Nanny straight from Nursery Nursing College through to Play Coordinator for children’s Services in a large teaching hospital.

She has also managed a 100 place sessional day care setting for 3 years whilst living in Germany with Mark. This is where she gained a lot of her experience. They were one of the first pre-schools to be successfully approved by Ofsted Overseas and they also achieved the Pre-School Learning Alliance Accreditation certificate (Quality assurance scheme).  They worked very hard and were proud of the quality of care provided for the children. Children are so rewarding, fulfilling and a pleasure to work with.  

Shan's Deputy Pauline, has been at New Road Nursery for over fifteen years. Pauline is also highly qualified and is the Nursery's Special Educational Needs Coordinator. The rest of the team are highly trained professional childcare workers of varying ages providing vast experience, who have been at the nursery for many years and are proud of the relationships they build with the children and parents.

A full list of staff qualifications is on display at the nursery, we exceed the minimum OFSTED requirements and have degree and teacher qualified personnel working in the nursery.

All staff are encouraged to develop their knowledge with further training as required.
